Abstract

In view of the number of different external evaluations to which the school has been subjected and, regardless of the clothes with which they present themselves, either with the aim of knowing, diagnosing and monitoring the weaknesses of the systems, or to compare the learning levels of students from different countries, whether with the slogan of stimulating and promoting the study of certain areas of knowledge or even identifying talents, etc., whatever the objectives, it is necessary that the tests present evidence of content validity. Thus, the objective of this article is to analyze the evidence of validity of the content of the test of the first phase, level 2, of the Brazilian Mathematics Olympiad of Public Schools - Obmep, of 2017. Specifically, it seeks to analyze questions regarding the Obmep test in comparison with the reference documents, in order to check if the representativeness - the cognitive demand - of the questions is in line with the expected contents. For this, the evidence of validity of the content of the Obmep test was raised using the blueprint and the analysis of judges, with subsequent calculation of the Content Validity Ratio - RVC. To compose the part referring to the contents in the blueprint, since the contents provided for Obmep were not found, the Moving Curriculum used in the Federal District and the National Curriculum Parameters (PCN) were considered. The results revealed that it is necessary that the organizers of Obmep publish content covered in the test and adapt the Olympics to their objectives, which are to encourage and promote the study of mathematics, causing social inclusion through knowledge and contributing to the improvement of the quality of life. basic education.
