This paper presents interactive e-books to articulate and organize various technological resources for educational purposes. In doing so, the perceptions of mathematics students on this proposal are presented in the context of teacher training on the topic of different concepts of variables in algebra teaching. As part of an online course, we introduced the e-book to students and asked them to later interact and read the material in its entirety. For data collection, we developed a questionnaire designed to capture the limitations and potential of the resource in terms of its use, organization, and understanding of the content. Due to its descriptive nature, the research follows a qualitative perspective. In our analyzes, we confirmed as the main potential of the e-book for educational purposes the possibility of combining different media and resources in the same material. Limitations cited were the need for an Internet connection and the need for a technical device to access the material. We found that students are open to the possibility of using digital technologies, as presented in the format of an interactive e-book, in their future teaching practice and that the technological resources used in the proposal are coherent and sufficient to convey the proposed discussion of concepts of algebra in mathematics education.
