TRIGONOMETRIC FUNCTIONS AND SOUND WAVES: A STUDY OF POSSIBILITIES FROM AN INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACH
Abstract
This article presents the results of a survey carried out with high school mathematics and physics teachers. The aim of this work is to identify the potential and possibilities of using virtual learning objects (OVA) to teach trigonometric functions from an interdisciplinary approach, through an exercise in pedagogical imagination (PI). This is propositional qualitative research, based on PI from the perspective proposed by Skovsmose (2015), and the data produced was organized into categories that emerged from the analysis. As a result of the research, the use of didactic material by teachers stands out as a possibility for approaching mathematics and physics concepts in a more dynamic way, and, with regard to students, the opportunity to interact with objects of study, also in a dynamic way, favoring mathematical visualization and conceptual understanding. In addition, the data obtained shows that interdisciplinarity between mathematics and physics, based on practical examples, can contribute to student motivation and, consequently, lead to the learning of the concepts studied.
