Abstract

Using Martín-Barbero's Map of Cultural Mutations, it points out ways to reflect communicative citizenship from the perspective of the relationship between sensorialities and disputes in inhabited, produced, imagined and practiced spaces. Communicative citizenship is understood as the formalization, recognition and exercise of the right to communication, with the challenge of promoting the guarantee of parity for social actors to be heard and seen in the media in a context marked by the centrality of digital platforms. To this end, the universalization of access to information and communication technologies, the empowerment of appropriations through media literacy and social participation for the democratic regulation of the internet become central issues in this debate.
