Abstract

The current issue of Revista Eptic focuses on an encounter that is central to its very existence: communication and Marxism. The new discussions that resulted in the Thematic Dossier on this duo gained centrality in the process of reclaiming the National Association of Graduate Programs in Communication (Compós), which took place in 2022. Although unsuccessful, this process highlighted the growing interest of researchers in Marxism and, on the other hand, the institutional obstacles that make this a counter-hegemonic theoretical approach. This edition shows the relevance of this debate and of the Marxist contribution, which unfolds in the analysis of diverse objects.
