Abstract

The study examines the communicative dynamics of the Movement of Those Affected by the Space Base (MABE) in Alcântara (MA), resisting the advances of the Alcântara Space Center (CEA). MABE seeks to protect the ethnic territory and the right to territory of the quilombola communities in that region and, in this endeavor, employs communication strategies to raise awareness and gain visibility. The analysis highlights the importance of communication in internal mobilization, interaction with third parties sensitive to the cause, and collaboration with advocacy networks to enhance the visibility of the affected parties' demands.
