Abstract

Since its inception in the 1970s and 1980s, Latin American PEC has dedicated itself to studying the changes, including the privatisation of telecommunications and its significance in terms of productive restructuring, the changes in international political and economic power structures, the implementation of neoliberal policies, the impacts on the global cultural system, with the constitution of the political economy of the Internet and digital platforms, which have led us to the current situation, in which the crisis of capitalism and the crisis of US hegemony are once again intensely present.
