Abstract

The discussion on Artificial Intelligence must take into account that technological development is not simply about self-development. In capitalism, it is a quest to increase the exploitation of labor, increase profit margins and serve as a weapon in intercapitalist disputes. To this end, science is progressively incorporated as a productive force at the service of capital, facilitating ways of capturing workers' knowledge, which is then molded into machines. As can be seen in the debates on AI, these are seen as the bearers of intelligence, in a clear fetishization of technology that hides the essence of the phenomenon.
