Abstract

In this interview, Lloyd G. Adu Amoah examines digital imperialism as a contemporary expression of imperialism and its relationship to media imperialism, platform imperialism, and digital colonialism. He discusses how transnational technology corporations and states reinforce global inequalities through capital accumulation, value transfers, and technological dependence. Drawing on the African experience, he also considers the implications of digitalisation for the Global South and China’s growing role in digital markets.
