DESENVOLVIMENTO SUSTENTÁVEL E A TEORIA RAWLSIANA DA JUSTIÇA

Abstract

The right to development is foreseen in several international diplomas and in the Federal Constitution of 1988, being considered a human right belonging to the third generation of human rights, concerned with future generations, framing the right to solidarity. Together with the idea of ​​development, sustainability must be added, seeking to reconcile the economic, social, cultural and environmental aspects to satisfy the current generation, however, without compromising the enjoyment for future generations. The right to sustainable development, therefore, is an instrument to provide a better quality of life for all people, and the State should seek it, as it is one of the objectives of the Federative Republic of Brazil, through planning. Economic development, when seeking social justice, refers to the theory of justice proposed by Jonh Rawls in which a well-organized society satisfies the principles of justice when they are collectively rational from the perspective of the original position, under the veil of ignorance . For the purposes of the investigation, deduction and critical analysis are adopted, followed by foreign and national bibliographic research.
