Abstract

The study aims to make a brief analysis of the adaptation process between poem and music, and for this, we chose the poems by Manoel de Barros, which were set to music by journalist and musician Márcio de Camillo in his grand project Crianceiras, developed in the capital of Mato Grosso do Sul, in 2012. Therefore, we understand the importance of the adaptation process, which aims to modify a cultural product, that is, an artistic language, transforming it into another. We will make a relationship with the principle of intermediality, to understand how the various forms of arts and communication are present and intertwined with each other, especially with regard to media, to support this theory, we rely on the studies of Clüver (2011), as well as with research by Hutcheon (2011) who addresses topics about adaptation.
