Abstract

This article analyzes the representation of the Middle Ages in the series Game of Thrones and The Witcher, highlighting how these productions incorporate medieval elements, creating a neomedievalism that reflects contemporary issues. Through these narratives, the study investigates how aspects such as power, morality, and gender are portrayed, influencing the collective perception of the past. The research also discusses the cultural implications of these representations in today's society, seeking to understand how popular media uses the past to address current issues, reinforcing stereotypes or proposing new interpretations.
