Abstract

This paper stems from a master's thesis in which evidence about the professional knowledge of mathematics teachers was presented after participating in an extension course in Statistical Education. From the strata of their narratives, we seek to answer the question: what evidence of teaching learning by mathematics teachers emerges in relation to teaching statistics, after participating in an extension course? The study carried out takes autobiographical narratives as a research method. The results show that teachers appropriated knowledge from the extension course and were able to develop activities and projects appropriate to the educational context in which they worked.
