Abstract

Activities aiming the development of computational thinking are widespread in k-12 Education. Moreover, the new Brazil’s National Common Curriculum Framework set the specific manner of thinking as a competency to be developed in connexion with the already established curricular subject of Mathematics. Taking in consideration that educacional processes require proper assessment tools regarding didactic reality, this paper has the goal to devise a method of analysis for screen recordings by condensing Textual Analysis of Discourse and Analysis of the Moving Image. For such, there were discussed aspects of each method and there was fundamented an analytical tool integrated with its own context. Furthermore, the tool was tested in a test activity to solve problems via scratch. In turn, the method's capacity is sutuated by a minucius process of constructing categories of analysis through a thorough process of observation of the “significant actions”. The processe also sought to articulate problem solving and software scratch in order to consolidate develompment of Computational Thinking in K-12 Education.
