This article aim is to present and comment on a literary writing, prepared for teaching algebra in the initial years of elementary school. The work “The shrewd cat riddle”, created along the lines of a paradidactic book, is, in fact, a constituent part of writing a dissertation. When using a creative writing process to communicate academic research, the boundaries between these two different types of writing are problematized, while there is a focus on the communion of subjective and objective aspects of both the researcher and the writer, as well as the reader, who wants to reflect upon the written content. Therefore, “The shrewd cat riddle” imposes itself, compared to traditional academic writing, as “minor literature”, in the sense coined by Deleuze and Guattari.
