Abstract

This article aims to discuss and establish divisibility criteria for a natural number written in any base and, consequently, contribute to the Mathematics teacher training. The demonstrations were done using only elementary arguments of Arithmetic, however, with precision, formalism and mathematical rigor, as required by work that focuses on the Mathematics teacher. Initially, in base 10, we present the common criteria: those that are in the Mathematics books of the 6º year of Elementary School and, others, not common, that do not appear in these books and, generally, are not known to the teacher. Nonetheless, for the training of Mathematics teachers and Mathematics graduates, it is It is essential to know them. The main result of this work is a theoretical rheme that provides a general divisibility criterion, from which conditions of divisibility by any natural number that is prime with the base of the numbering system.
