More or less than monotone functions

Resumen

The purpose of this article is to present a result on the propagation of the monotonicity of a function, between topological spaces, from a dense subset of its range to the whole range. We show that the propagation occurs provided that the domain is pre-normal, the function is open-and-closed and the preimage of each point is closed. No assumption is superfluous.
