Abstract

The article analyzes the proposed changes in the way of thinking about education with the French Revolution, based on the ideas defended in the reports of Charles-Maurice de Talleyrand (Report and Draft Decree) and Marquês de Condorcet (Report and Draft Decree). The study is part of the History of Education, with references in Cultural History. The methodologies employed are bibliographic review and documentary research. After the introduction, a narrative about the French Revolution is presented. Next, a general picture is drawn of how education appears in the revolutionary process. The next two topics present the central discussion of the investigation, the first being intended for the analysis of educational issues in Talleyrand's report and the second for Condorcet's report.
