Abstract

This article constitutes itself as a reflective essay about the processes involving death, considering that it is urgent as an imminent constant to the animal condition, however, its mysteries, allied to the innumerable forms of interpretation, generate intrigue, dread, suffering and curiosity to the humanity, often corroborating with the absence of meaning in life. In this way, for many, the relationship with mourning goes through a negative instance with regard to human suffering, converging towards an existential void, promoting a vast field for the maintenance of illnesses. Thus, both religiosity and spirituality can be urgent as ways of coping with adversities, constituting themselves as coping, which can acquire a negative or positive content. For this bias, this article proposes to analyze such nuances in the light of the psychology of meaning, Logotherapy, crossing a historical bias and immersing in the experience of death, as well as the possibilities of growth in life before it, considering that talking about death is also listing life.
