OS MONUMENTOS HISTÓRICOS E A RECONFIGURAÇÃO DO ESPAÇO URBANO NO MUNDO PÓS-COLONIAL

Abstract

This work addresses the reconfiguration of urban space through historical monuments, from the perspective of the post-colonial world, based on the Western forces that “crystallized” them, whose objective is to deconstruct an imaginary of domination and power, resulting in militant groups society that looted, pinched, and overthrew these symbols, as it did justice to subjects who dominated the colonial world, contributing to the perpetuation of racism, prejudice, totalitarianism, etc. In this sense, methodologically, we will take a theoretical approach to modernity, through a quantitativequalitative approach, through the interrelationship between monuments and the results of elitist political proposals, through the demarcation of borders between civilized and barbarians who, in the world postcolonial because these configurations of powers still intersect today.
