Abstract

This paper is the result of a classroom experience using digital games about The First and Second World Wars, conducted as part of the Supervised Internship IV in the History curriculum component. This project was collectively developed with  a 3rd-year high school class at Colégio Estadual Polivalente, in the city of Conceição do Coité, in the state of Bahia. The study focuses on the use of active methodologies in History teaching, specifically gamification. The paper aims to demonstrate how the use of games in the classroom can be a valuable tool for making learning more engaging, bringing the subject closer to students, and encouraging their active participation in the learning process.
