In the present work, we obtain characterizations of vector spaces of finite dimension which can be written as finite union or enumerable union of proper vector subspaces (or proper subspaces). In particular, we deduce that vector spaces of finite dimension on infinite fields (resp. non enumerable fields) can’t be written as finite union (resp. enumerable union) of proper subspaces.
