Abstract

In this text, we intend to address violence against women in the tale "Olhos d'água", which gives the title to Conceição Evaristo's book, from a perspective of feminist literary criticism, considering the many feminisms, especially black feminism. The goal is to try to understand the way the writer works literary the theme of violence beyond the physical dimension, focusing on the intrinsic violence that permeates the existence of women, shown in the story very carefully by the author, through an ancestry of resistance.
