THE MEDIATIONS OF A LIBRARY FROM PIAUÍ TO PROMOTE THE WORK OF ASSIS BRASIL

This article seeks to discuss the activities concerning the work of Assis Brasil and its contribution to the formation of the reader of the juvenile literary text from the mediation of the Patativa do Assaré Library, in Vila Nova do Piauí, a municipality that grows around the library. Methodologically, we choose to carry out interviews with library assistants, teachers and students. In order to know the reader’s behavior, his individual performance and linked to extracurricular activities, paying attention to Reading mediators and focusing on the social and educational contexto and its implications for the formation of the reader. Among the authors that support our study are Petit (2008), Candido (2004), Jauss (1994) and Brasil (2007).
