Presentation
Our conceptions about the nature of intellectual production are derived from several debates about the formulation of knowledge, in addition to thematic and theoretical issues that are inherent and fundamental in the interdisciplinary hyperfield of History and the critical rationality of the Present Time. In this sense, it is necessary to clearly establish that the online page of Rede Tempo Brasil on the Internet should translate to the public the synthesis of these propositions.
The Boletim do Tempo Presente is the oldest publication dedicated to studies of the present time in South America, having been launched by Francisco Carlos Teixeira da Silva (UFRJ) in the mid-2000s. of conjunctures, methodological reflections, theoretical essays and even reviews and film analyses, all free and online, transformed the bulletin into one of the most accessed publications on the Brazilian internet.
After the creation of the Rede Tempo Brasil, the bulletin became an official publication of this consortium of researchers from universities in Brazil and abroad. Despite changes in its formatting and periodicity, the electronic journal continues to fulfill its mission: to publicize the work of present-day researchers, whether beginner or experienced historians, to encourage the continued growth of the field.
Its rotation is intended not only to be a communication channel between these surveys, but also to welcome external collaborators and incorporate new and old participants. The option for the scientific dissemination format, in succinct articles with an analytical background on the themes, reflects our choice for an agile means of communication, aware of the dynamics of space and time in which the present is inserted, without this resulting in loss of editorial quality.
The purpose of this website is to disseminate the scientific work developed by professors, students and researchers associated with TEMPO, in order to also strengthen ties between the community and the Academy. We also value varied themes within the various scopes worked here: the issue of South American, political, cultural and energy integration; International, migratory and currential flows; international terrorism; African issues; international relations and political philosophy; among other topics of equal relevance. We invite all visitors to discover our work, the result of our daily effort to democratize knowledge and expand the frontiers of dialogue between possible and alternative visions of the reality where we find ourselves and know us.
Sincerely,
Editorial Committee of the Electronic Journal Boletim do Tempo Presente.
