Abstract

This article intends to analyze the context of geopolitics in the 21st century, based on the first chapter of the book The United States Strategy in World Politics: The United States and the Balance of Power, by Nicholas Spykman. From his strategic model of wars it is expected to highlight the model of Total War by observing the scenario of power dispute between the US and China. We intend to answer the question: Is it possible to observe his concepts in the current scenario?
