Abstract

In order to address the Shoah in historical education, it is proposed to use the comic book adaptation Anne Frank's Diary as a teaching resource. This can serve to work on historical empathy, aiming at overcoming intuitive knowledge and making the understanding of the past more complex, according to Peter Lee. The choice of this teaching resource was motivated by the fact that it is a Graphic Novel based on a first-person account of a Shoah victim.
