Abstract

Many were the survivors who narrated their memories about the Shoah, that most traumatic event in history. Within these thick and important memoirs are the writings of Primo Levi, an Italian Jew who was arrested in 1944 and sent to Auschwitz-Monowitz, and Viktor Frankl, an Auschwitz survivor, who recounted his experience in In Search of Meaning (2021). Addressing the human condition in the fields also deals with its relationship with the dehumanization plan, within that, these will be the guiding axes of this work.
