Abstract

The present work carries out a brief and introductory analysis of fashwave, an aesthetic and musical movement derived from electronic music, a far-right version of the socalled synthwave, which currently emulates a sound common to video games and soundtracks from films and cartoons of the 1980s. Fashwave combines a nostalgic sound with an imagery apparatus in which elements of cyberculture mix with icons of fascism, western culture or farright politicians.
