Abstract

This article, the result of an activity in the History of Education discipline, of the Postgraduate Master's and Doctorate Program in Education at UFPB, analyzes the importance of biographies for the Teaching and study of History. At the same time, this work is based on the research methodology of bibliographical study. It is concluded that the use of biographies can bring another
look at the process of building historical knowledge, especially how analyzes of the life trajectories of people from marginalized groups can contribute to the (re)construction of a more meaningful History Teaching in classroom.
