Abstract

In this Visual Essay we propose to reflect on the links among memory, images and city. The starting point is a selection of images that were seen along during the event on March 24th 2020, scarcely four days after the beginning, in Argentina, of the Compulsory, Social and Preventive Isolation (ASPO). The Human Rights organizations drove the initiative of putting a commemorative campaign of a new anniversary through resources that take in account the restrictions of circulation. The cities were filled up with home-made posters and tiny artistic works which were, simultaneously, portraited by professional or amateur photographers. We understand that the format of Visual Essays allows us to combine a repertoire of images with some urgent, exceptional and provisional reflections about the pandemic.
