Abstract

O presente texto retoma reflexões acerca da obra Les Elites de la République por ocasião dos vinte anos de sua publicação. Os grandes temas em questão na obra são retomados e, em seguida, procura-se ver em que medida os trabalhos mais recentes confirmaram ou corrigiram suas teses. Por fim, são questionadas as razões dessa relativa constância do tema das elites simultaneamente na historiografia, na ciência política e na sociologia francesas, assim como do debate público recorrente sobre as elites na França.
