Abstract

A partir do debate da questão do uso da ayahuasca para fins religiosos, este artigo apresenta e discute os diferentes padrões de normatização adotados nos últimos 20 anos no Brasil, com destaque para o debate em torno da criminalização. A sociedade pós-industrial e a condição pós-moderna aparecem como pano de fundo frente aos dilemas que a questão suscita.
