Afinando las diferencias en la llegada a la ciudad: repertorios de la diferencia de migrantes internacionales en Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.

Los migrantes internacionales que llegan a la desigual ciudad de Río de Janeiro, Brasil, se encuentran con diferencias y jerarquías étnico-raciales, de clase y de género que conforman el paisaje urbano y los cuerpos que circulan por él. La etnografía con migrantes senegaleses y españoles llegados en la década de 2010 analiza cómo estos se involucraron de manera diferenciada con las atmósferas afectivas y estéticas colectivas proporcionadas por los espacios urbanos y sus habitantes. A partir de un enfoque fenomenológico y crítico, los registros visuales urbanos se conciben como parte de repertorios sensoriales. Al analizar los repertorios sensoriales emergentes de las trayectorias locales y transnacionales de los migrantes recién llegados, el artículo revela cómo estos se sintonizan con los densos paisajes urbanos y con las contradicciones y contingencias entre experiencias y sensibilidades, derivadas del privilegio y el racismo, el miedo y la curiosidad. La heterogeneidad de los repertorios de los migrantes refleja y co-constituye este mundo urbano denso, multifacético y desafiante.
