GAMES FOR TEACHING HISTORY
EXPERIENCE REPORT OF THE USE OF LEISURE IN THE CONTEXT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The purpose of this article is to present dynamics that involved the application of games as a pedagogical tool for explaining History content in elementary school, in the midst of the chaos unleashed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The methodology was developed at the Pio X Municipal School, where, after identifying a strong relationship between students and games, playful materials were created about the Enlightenment, the Russian Revolution and the rise of Totalitarian Regimes. The proposed activities aimed to engage students in a creative and interactive way, using elements of games to facilitate understanding of historical content and promote more dynamic and meaningful learning, making the teaching process more attractive and relevant for students.
