Debates on the Teaching of Holocaust as a sensitive theme in the Scope of History
Abstract
The purpose of the text is to bring reflections about how the teaching of the Holocaust can be considered, par excellence, the teaching of a sensitive historical theme. This involves
thinking about how History Teaching has faced such sensitive themes and their use in the field of history of the present. Discussions that show a living past within the social representations and values that permeate contemporary society, having here the holocaust as a central theme. Sensitive themes such as the holocaust in history classes lead to thinking about conflicts and problems of modernity.
