Abstract

O presente trabalho é parte de uma investigação que teve como problema de pesquisa a produção da presença chinesa a partirdo campo econômico na cidade de Aracaju. Este texto tem porobjetivo analisar os discursos e percursos que estão relacionados à presença chinesa na cidade de Aracaju, especialmente no campo econômico,com o auxílio da noção de processos identitários. A partir de fontesdocumentais, entrevistas semiestruturadas e da observação direta, concluiu-se que a presença chinesaé construída a partir da percepção e representação dos atores sociais nos embates do campo econômico. O “ser chinês” é construído por meio de autonomeações e heteronomeações, um jogo no qual os chineses se nomeiam e são nomeados.
