Literature as a resource in working with the history of the Holocaust in the early years of elementary school
Abstract
In Curitiba (Brazil), the Municipal Education Plan determines that the pedagogical projects of schools include work with Human Rights, in order to promote the debate on social justice, inclusion, and violence prevention. In this context, at Issa Nacli Municipal School, pedagogical actions on the Holocaust were developed with students from the early years of elementary school. This article reports some of these practices based on the testimony of child victims of Nazism.
