THE HUMAN RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL PRESERVATION AND THE IMPROVEMENT OF LIFE
CONSTITUTIONAL THOUGHTS
Abstract
The human development has brought serious problems to nature. For a long time man sought this
development exclusively concerned with private issues, to improve only its own satisfaction and welfare.
The search for a better quality of life by exploiting the environmental resources thoughtlessly results in a
great removal of resources from the planet, causing an environmental imbalance that can affect beyond the
future generations quality of life, but the very existence of the human species on Earth. The knowledge of
these factors brings out the need for a change in human awareness on the paths taken to achieve the desired
evolution. In the way humanity has been acting the future becomes uncertain as it depends on the resources
they are using in an unsustainable way. The Article 225 of the Federal Constitution constitutionalizes a
right-duty to preserve the natural resources. Its third article states the creation of a solidary society as one
of the BrazilianRepublic goals. This study aims to examine these constitutional norms against the path taken
by man towards development. Changes in consciousness and in human actions are what can be the starting
point for a transformation of environmental reality. The chosen method is deductive and the research
technique is bibliographic.
