Abstract

This work presents the APAC method, as a proposed alternative to the problem raised by ADPF 347, since this method has as one of its objectives the humanization of the prison environment, an imperative factor from the perspective of Human Ecology. The present study adopted the methodology of bibliographical research, with the objective of exploring and analyzing the main sources of information related to the proposed topic. To this end, books, articles, published works, legislation, websites and other relevant sources were consulted, in order to obtain a consistent theoretical basis for understanding and discussing the topic. The research results indicate that the APAC Method has been effective in reducing criminal recidivism and promoting the resocialization of inmates, presenting as an important alternative towards the effective solution of the problems of the Brazilian prison system recognized by ADPF 347, but its effectiveness depends on a joint effort, requiring continuous engagement and collaboration from everyone, envolving to build a more fair, equitable and supportive society.
