Abstract

This article proposes a critical reflection on the challenges and possibilities of teacher education in the face of epistemi cide, the coloniality of knowledge, and the exclusionary structures operating in knowledge production. Drawing from Cultural Studies, it discusses ethical and political displacements in pedagogical practice. Based on listening, affection, and situated experience, we enter a crossing from knowledge as discourse to knowledge as presence. By recognizing silences, absences, and historically disqualified knowledge, education becomes a territory of re-existence. Critical for mation emerges when the body is implicated, when knowledge becomes localized, and when listening ceases to be a tool and becomes a way of being in the world. Here, crossing is both verb and ground.
