Author Biographies

Frank Marcon, Federal University of Sergipe

He is a Full Professor of Anthropology at the Department of Social Sciences, at the Federal University of Sergipe. Professor of the Master's Degree in Anthropology and the Master's and Doctorate in Sociology at UFS. CNPQ PQ2 Research Fellow. He works mainly with topics such as: identification and differentiation processes; discourses, arts and mediations; youth studies; urban expressions; interethnic relations; and public policies. He holds a PhD in Social Anthropology from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2005), a Master's degree in History from the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos (1999) and a degree in History from the University of the West of Santa Catarina (1994) and a degree in Sociology from Uniasselvi (2023). He held a Post-Doctorate at the Interdisciplinary Center for Social Studies of the New University of Lisbon (2022/2023), a Post-Doctorate at Universitat Lleida (2015/2016), in Spain, and a Post-Doctorate at IUL/ISCTE (2010), in Portugal. He coordinates the Group of Cultural Studies, Identities and Interethnic Relations (CNPq Groups). He was Editor-in-Chief of Revista Tomo, at UFS, from 2014 to 2021. He is a member of REAJ - Network of Studies and Research on Youth Actions and Experiences. Member of the UFS Democracy Observatory. Member of the following anthropology and sociology associations: ABA, SBS, APA and ISA.

Mariana Chaves, National University of la Plata

Anthropologist. PhD in Natural Sciences from the National University of La Plata (UNLP). Principal researcher at CONICET and Director of the Laboratory of Studies in Culture and Society (LECyS, FTS, UNLP). Full professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Museum. Director of the Specialization in Social Intervention with Children, Adolescents and Young People, a distance learning option at the Faculty of Social Work (UNLP). Member of the Social Organization "Obra del Padre Cajade". She directs and participates in research and university extension projects. She works in the areas of urban anthropology, youth, inequalities, public policies and community work.

Ricardo Campos, Nova de Lisboa University

Ricardo Campos is an integrated researcher at CICS.NOVA (Interdisciplinary Centre of Social Sciences of the Universidade NOVA de Lisboa). He is also one of the editors of the Brazilian academic journal Cadernos de Arte e Antropologia [Journal of Art and Anthropology], co-coordinator of the Visual Culture Group of the Portuguese Association of Communication Studies and co-coordinator of the Luso-Brasilian Network for the Study of Urban Arts and Interventions (RAIU).
